| PQP SODIUM ALUMINATE
Chemical Formula: NaAlO2
• xH2O
General:
The high alkalinity of the PQP Sodium Aluminate makes it useful as a
coagulant in water treatment. Used alone or combined with Ferric Sulphate
or Aluminum Sulphate, the product reduces the use of pH correctors such
as lime, caustic soda, or sodium carbonate.
Uses: PQP Sodium Aluminate is used: as a coagulant in drinking
water treatment, and the treatment of industrial and residual sewage;
in the manufacture of enzymes; in the paper industry, because as an
alkaline compound it is possible to add larger quantities of Aluminum
to the paste without lowering the pH; and in the construction industry
as an accelerant in the hardening of concrete. The product is also used
in the preparation of colored lacquer, glass, and cryolite. In addition,
the product is used in the sugar industry.
